Hello ladies! December is upon us which means the most wonderful time of year is fast approaching...Christmas! I want to chat with my girls on being intentional in our marriage during this busy time. Many of us are juggling careers, kids, as well as other obligations in addition to being a wife. 1 Peter 5:7 NIV instructs us to "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you". This is where we have to be willing to step aside, lay whatever we're carrying at the feet of Jesus, and let Him take over. I will be the first to admit...it starts the week leading up to Thanksgiving where I feel like I have just 1 nerve left...all my girls out there who cook from scratch know what I'm talkin' bout! Racing through the madhouse of grocery stores, organizing our home for guests, standing for countless hours whipping up that "down-home" food begins to take a toll. Before I know it I'm too tired for date night with hubby or I've dozed off with my mouth open while watching our favorite series lol! While these acts may seem small in the grand scheme of things...the devil is always searching for a foothold to gain leverage in your life wherever he can...including your marriage. Girl put that Christmas cookie exchange on hold for the night and put on that fire outfit and go out to dinner with your husband. Postpone that Christmas shopping trip for another day and cook his favorite meal. Every morning when you rise be intentional about praying for his spiritual, emotional, and physical health. Ask the Lord to continue to guide his steps so that he may lead you and your family under God's will. Declare that the love between you two shines and burns brighter than it did the day before. Often times husbands won't vocally express when their emotional needs are not being met, or when their spiritual tank is running low. A woman of valor is a woman of virtue, displaying godliness in all she does. Proverbs 31:11-12 NIV says, "her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life".

In spite of the busyness of the season, continue encouraging your husband and building him up as a woman of valor. Wives, you are your husband's good thing and a good wife is the most precious treasure a man can find.
Hugs and love,
Krystle Monique
